The Financialization of Accumulation

The result is a stagnation-financialization trap. The seriousness of this trap today is evident in the fact that capital and its state have no answer to the present Great Financial Crisis/Great Recession but to bail out financial institutions and investors (both corporate and individual) to the tune of trillions of dollars with the object of debt-leveraging up the system all over again. This dynamic of financialization in relation to an underlying stagnant economy is the enigma of monopoly-finance capital. As Toporowski has observed, “The apparent paradox of capitalism” at the beginning of the twenty-first century is that “financial innovation and growth” are associated with “speculative industrial expansion,” while adding “systematically to economic stagnation and decline.”(...)"

Penso que o grande erro do nosso sistema (A Crise Económica do séc. XXI) está aqui muito bem explicado. E não é nada de novo. Marx já tentou provar isto à muito tempo atrás.

A conjugação destas duas lógicas: A lógica da especulação dos mercados financeiros (M-M'), onde o capital só busca mais capital sem ter em conta produção, inovação ou melhor escolha social (ex: A grande maioria dos investidores que só buscam lucro nos mercados financeiros estando-se burrifando para a empresa ou instituição onde colocam o seu dinheiro); com a lógica da tendência do mercado para o monopólio (ex: os grandes centro comerciais fazem com que o comércio tradicional desapareça);

faz com que o capital se acumule nos já mais ricos (> de desigualdades), aumento de desemprego (o patrão quer simplesmente der eficiente), propaganda consumista e consequentemente individualismo, aumento eterno da Dívida, etc.
